Rules for private parties in the Social Hall:
-
Due to DC residential noise ordinances, loud music (DJ or live bands) must end at 10pm. When there is loud music the exterior doors must remain shut.
-
Private events may bring in beer and wine but must provide a Special Event Certificate of Insurance listing the Palisades Hub as the "certificate holder" prior to receiving access.
- We cannot allow any storage of items on-site or set up prior to your rental start-time.
- Access to the playground is restricted unless previously agreed by Hub staff.
- No confetti, glitter, pinatas, tape or tacks on painted surfaces, tacks on wooden areas or stickers of any kind on the floor or walls. All decorations, balloons, etc. must be removed after the event, along with any tape or string used.
- All trash must be bagged and placed in the dumpster, which should be locked before returning the keys to the drop box. All recyclables must be placed in the blue recycle bin.
- Any spills should be mopped up and any debris swept from the floor before you leave the premises.
- Everything must be returned to the location from where it was removed, including all tables, chairs and any kitchen items. The kitchen must be left in the same condition as it was before the party, the ovens off and all pilot lights lit on the stovetop. If any linen tablecloths are used they must be washed, folded and returned within 48 hours.
- Clean up should be completed and all attendees and organizers out of the building and off the grounds by 11:30pm. Before exiting the building all doors should be checked to ensure they are locked and the keys should be left in the black box in the coat room where the round tables are stored.
