Rules for private events in the Sanctuary:

Due to DC residential noise ordinances, loud music (DJ or live bands) must end at 10pm. When there is loud music the exterior doors must remain shut.

Private events may allow BYOB or bring in beer and white wine (no red wine in the Sanctuary), but must provide a Special Event Certificate of Insurance listing the Palisades Hub as the "certificate holder" prior to receiving access.
- No "wet" food is allowed in the Sanctuary (i.e., no cake, plated dinners, soup, salad, etc). Things like chips, crudite, cheese and crackers, etc area ok.
- We cannot allow any storage of items on-site or set up prior to your rental start-time and cannot store any items either inside or outside the building after events.
- Access to the West Lawn and Playground is restricted unless previously agreed by Hub staff.
- No confetti, glitter, bubbles, silly string or pinatas are allowed in the Sanctuary. There should also be no use of tape or tacks on painted surfaces, tape on the carpet, tacks on wooden areas or stickers of any kind. All tape should be "painter's tape" (i.e., no scotch, masking, duct, electrical or other sorts). All decorations, balloons, etc. must be removed after the event, along with any tape or string used.
- All trash must be bagged and placed in the dumpster, which should be locked before returning the keys to the drop box. All recyclables must be placed in the blue recycle bin next to the dumpster.
- Any spills should be promptly cleaned up and all debris swept from the floor before you leave the premises.
- Everything must be returned to the location from where it was moved, including all tables and chairs at the direction of Hub staff. If any linen tablecloths are used they must be washed, folded and returned within 48 hours.
- Clean up should be completed and all attendees and organizers out of the building and off the grounds by 11:30pm. Before exiting the building all doors should be checked to ensure they are locked and the keys should be left in the black box in the coat room at the bottom of the carpeted stairs where the round tables are stored.
